Need something Repaired? Go to the Repair Cafe Rye 18th March

Repair Cafe in Rye

27 Nelson St 3941, Rye

Sun 18 Mar at 2:00pm – 5:00pm.

About this event

The Southern Peninsula Repair Cafe holds monthly repair sessions where volunteer fixers show you how to fix your broken or torn things for FREE. They are also holding a “Swap Fest” where you can bring things you no longer need to find treasures you definitely do, you don’t have to bring something to take something.

There will also be a tinker table for kids to get busy learning the art of pulling stuff apart – and maybe putting it back together (Parental Supervision Required).

Both the Repair Cafe and Swap Fest aim to keep things in use and out of landfill while also providing a low-key face-to-face opportunity to meet and chat with others in the community.

Baked or other nibbles are welcomed to share. Go down to the Rye Community House to learn repair skills, meet friendly folk and have a cuppa and a chat!
Heavy on the fun and light on the wallet, free events near you.
